BY CAR
Meina is located about 3.5 hours from Lausanne and the surrounding area. Meina is easily accessible by car and you will be able to explore the area at your own pace if you wish. Please check with your accommodation regarding parking.
BY TRAIN
Meina can be reached by train from Milan. The nearest railway stations are Arona and Stresa, both well connected to Milan. From the station, Meina is easily reachable by taxi.
TAXI & TRANSFERS
Taxis are available from Milan Malpensa Airport and from nearby train stations.
BY PLANE
The most convenient airport is Milan Malpensa Airport, located approximately 45 minutes from Meina by car.

As September is still a popular travel season on Lake Maggiore,
we kindly recommend booking your accommodation as soon as possible.
transportation on wedding day
For the wedding day, a dedicated shuttle service will be provided for all guests.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
Shuttle transfers will operate:
from Meina to the ceremony;
from the ceremony to the reception venue;
for returns during the event.
The main pick-up and drop-off point will be in Piazza Marconi, located between the two hotels in Meina.
For guests arriving by car, the designated meeting point will be the Public Parking area near the cemetery.
Multiple shuttles will operate throughout the event, and at least one shuttle will always remain available for guests.
ARRIVING BY CAR
Guests who prefer to arrive by car are welcome to do so.
The most convenient parking area in Meina is the Public Parking near the cemetery.
If you choose to drive directly to the church, please note that parking will not be available at the reception venue.
The property is located along a winding hillside road and does not offer on-site parking.
Following the ceremony, guests arriving by car are kindly asked to park near the cemetery and continue to Careggio using the shuttle service.
For a seamless and comfortable experience, we recommend using the shuttle service provided.

WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?
Kindly RSVP as soon as possible and no later than the end of May.
WHAT TIME WILL THE SHUTTLES DEPART FOR THE CEREMONY ON THE WEDDING DAY?
3:30 PM, but we will confirm the departure time closer to the event date.
CAN CHILDREN ATTEND THE EVENTS?
You know we love your children, but unless noted on your invitation, we kindly ask that our wedding be an adults-only event. We truly appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us.
CAN I BRING A GUEST OR A PLUS ONE NOT LISTED ON MY INVITATION?
While we would love to accommodate everyone, we are keeping our guest list limited to those specifically named on the invitation. We truly hope you can still join us, and please feel free to reach out directly if you have any questions.
DO YOU ACCOMMODATE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
Yes. We are committed to ensuring all guests enjoy a wonderful dining experience. Please indicate any dietary preferences or restrictions in your RSVP.
IS PARKING AVAILABLE AT THE WELCOME DINNER VENUE?
Osteria La Rampolina offers a limited number of parking spaces, reserved for our guests. Given the limited availability, guests may wish to consider local taxis or car-sharing arrangements, especially if staying in Meina or the surrounding area. We will share any relevant updates closer to the event.
DO YOU HAVE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR HAIRDRESSERS?
Details and recommendations will be shared closer to the wedding date.
WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE?
Late September at Lake Maggiore is generally mild and pleasantly fresh.
Daytime temperatures typically range between 18°C and 23°C (64°F – 73°F), with cooler evenings influenced by the lake breeze. We recommend dressing in light layers and bringing something to keep warm after sunset.
